36 pp. With two designs Silko and 3 by Aaron Yava, plus photograph portrait of Silko. Decorated wrappers. First Edition.

Signed by Silko on preliminary page. Silko's first book. There is an ink correction by Silko on p.19. Also, inscribed on the rear cover, "The one to send Rain clouds, Leslie Silko," in a shaky hand, possibly in Silko's own hand. Silko was born and educated in New Mexico, then moved to Alaska; her poems reflect the cultural influences of her mixed ancestry of American Indian and White American. Quite scarce.
