Large format folio edition in Latin of Aristotle's Physics, with the commentaries of the 12th century Andalusian Muslim polymath Averroes, which are particularly rare in incunabular editions. One of a number of separately printed and separately dated works of Aristotle, sold separately or together as an Opera. The colophon of this copy reads in part: "Noue trãslationi de physico auitu: veteri ab Aueroi cordubesi comentate: Sumi Ari. philosophi ex stragyra grecie oppido Nicomachi medicine artis professoris... Impresa atqe diligetia andree de asula Venetiis ipresse. Annno salutis christiane: M.cccc.lxxxiii. sexto nonas octobris Laus deo." There are many instances of period ink marginalia in this copy, more at the beginning than the end. Very rare.
