[5 (of 6)], XLVI, [4] leaves/plates, 23 of them double-page. With engraved genealogical trees with city views throughout. (folio) 42x29 cm. (16½x11¼"), period calf.

Rare and stunning work, featuring 46 plates superbly engraved in copper, containing genealogical trees of the noble houses and ruling families of European (and a few middle eastern) kingdoms, principalities and city states, each with a background of bird's-eye views of the regions, and occasional maps, coats of arms, etc., with printed text on the versos, each with a large pictorial headpiece. Apparently lacking its half-title, but otherwise textually complete with all of the engravings of family trees, the portrait of the author, and the engraved title-page. Dated 1608 (mdciix) on the title-page, but with 1609 date in the colophon. OCLC/WorldCat lists only 13 copies in institutional libraries. Very rarely offered at auction in such a state of completeness.
