"Exceeding rare," according to Ramon Adams, so rare that "some collectors think that the 1892 edition was the only one published. This book contains much material on the gunmen and their gun battle in Caldwell, and tells of the Medicine Lodge bank robbery by Henry Brown and Ben Wheeler." Howes calls for 16 plates, Adams only for the frontispiece, but Graff notes 4 plates, as has this copy. It seems that there was some variance in the issue, and this copy is complete as issued. Adams Herd 843; Six-guns 763; Graff 1411; Howes F353; Rader 1472.
