22x25” broadside for the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition, lithographed in black and sepia and published by George Stinson & Co. of Portland, ME, 1876. The top portion shows the Centennial Grounds with insets of Independence Hall, Bunker Hill Monument and Faneuil Hall which flank a large allegorical image of Miss Liberty surrounded by individual oval vignettes of the 18 Presidents from Washington to Grant. Below a large winged Eagle, are vignettes of 6 Revolutionary heroes, Putnam, Schuyler, Gates, Greene, Lincoln and Sullivan, with the printed border slogan “In Remembrance of the One Hundredth Anniversary of the Independence of the United States”.
