[4] pp. Includes 12 color and 51 black and white photographs, of varying sizes. 25.6x23.3 cm (10x9"), three-ring binder with full leather covers, and with the Nigerian orange/white/green flag inlaid on the front cover.

With added manuscript dedication from Hamani Diori (the first president) to a French couple, as a souvenir of their trip.  Early public relations album apparently created shortly after Independence from France (in 1958) and before Diori assumed for himself full powers as President in 1960 (in the interim he was president of the Counsel).The full-page photos include some fine portraits of various single natives, as well as some group portraits, photographs of various places in the country, and nine photos of wildlife (e.g., oxen, lions, giraffes, elephants). The photographs are noted as been graciously loaned to the Centre Institute Français d’Afrique Noir du Niger. Includes 2 page description of photos. Text in French.
