Greenleaf's noteworthy American atlas, with most of the individual states of the U.S. in addition to Europe and the rest of the world, and a separate map of Texas in its state of independency. There is also a noteworthy map of Oregon Territory, with its northern border at the 54º 40' mark. The map of Mexico extends to just north of Monterey. Warren Heckrotte comments that "This is a reissue of Burr's 1836 atlas. First issue, 1840. This probably accounts for the 'new edition' in the title. There are later editions, 1843, 1845, 1848 and 1849."
