Extensive coverage of this important patent fight over the development of electric streetcars (trolleys) in the United States. Included are arguments over patents held by Thomas A. Edison, Stephen Dudley Field, Frank Julian Sprague and other inventors in this field. There are interesting facsimiles of early sketches and drawings made by Mr. Edison. The photographs show an early electric railway developed by Edison's company in Menlo Park, New Jersey.
