A nice association copy in the rare dust jacket. Inscribed and signed by the author on the front free endpaper: "Dear Marie: Camilla Lopez is not you, but I think you know who she is - Remember the two girls who popped into my place when I lived on Parkman Ave? Love-John." The author’s masterpiece, a semi-autobiographical novel and his second book. Part of "The Saga of Arturo Bandini" set in Depression-Era California; basis for the 2006 film starring Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek.
