A letter is included in the book from Pierre Amiet to Professeur M. E. L. Mallowan, thanking him for a generous review on his book Nimrud and Its Remains in R.A. of 1967. He also asks Prof. Mallowen about the Ziggurat. The letter is dated 23rd march, 1968, and is written on letterhead from the Ministere D'Etat Affaires Culturelles, Musee du Louvre, Conservation. It is signed by Pierre Amiet and comes with an English translation of the original French. An interesting bit of relevant history to go along with two very interesting books about some of the findings at the ancient city of Susa in Iran.
