Important study of plants and herbs by the noted French botanist, who gained much of his knowledge through his extensive travels in Greece. His system of grouping plants maintained his ground until the time of Linnaeus. The nearly 500 finely engraved plates in Vols. II and III illustrate in great detail the many plants studied and their numerous parts.
