[4], LXXIX, [1] leaves, (A4, B-P6, O8). Text in Latin with some Hebrew and Greek. (sm. folio) 11¼x8, modern mottled boards. First Edition.

Quite rare, early work on the Kabbalah, acknowledged by scholars as the most important Renaissance text on the Kabbalah, and the prime means of its dissemination. In addition, it is the first work on the Hebrew Kabbalah written by a non-Jew, and second printed book in any language on the subject, preceded only by the extremely rare Latin translation of Gikitilla's Protae Lucis, 1516. A search of the RLG Union Catalogue lists only two copies, at Harvard University and Emory University. The present copy has nice, wide margins, which contain a number of contemporary ink annotations regarding Pythagoras, wihich also appear on the title-page.
