Perhaps the most famous work by Cohausen, a physician and "medical jester" to the bishop of Muenster. In it, he advocates lying with and inhaling the breath of young women, more specifically virgins, to rejuvenate oneself and fend against the aging process. Widely popular in its day. With the armonrial bookplate of Lord Wenman. 17-line ink inscription on front flyleaf declares this "doubtless the first edition" [in English]. Ink name of Mary Drake, dated 1880, to following leaf. Formerly in the Fuller Collection at the Spokane Public Library, with blindstamp to foot of a2, a few small rubberstamps.
