287 pp. Illustrated with 32 color plates from paintings, including color frontispiece of St. Andrews. 9x6, original green cloth, lettered in gilt, t.e.g. Revised Edition.

This is the second edition, about which Murdoch writes, "The second edition, some ten years later, was revised to allow for the changes, alterations and additions that had taken place on the courses in the intervening years. The Irish courses were omitted because Mr. Darwin had not visited them for some years and felt ill-equipped to adequately describe their more modern guise." Donovan & Murdoch 14430; Murdoch 181.
