Collection of approximately 1100 volumes assembled by Bela Blau, the noted Los Angeles book binder and a former president of the Miniature Book Society of America. The superb collection, formed over many years, features in addition to publications by Blau himself, miniature books from such fine American presses and publishing houses as the Black Cat Press, Hillside Press, William Cheney, Achille St. Onge, the American Tract Society, Dawson's Book Shop, Junipero Serra Press, etc. Also, there are a number of miniature books from Hungary and other European locales. Many of the American publications were bound by Bela Blau. The collection is housed in seven custom-made wooden cabinets with mirrored backs and glass fronts; the cabinets each measure 32x211/2x41/2".
