With 69 hand-colored photographs and 1 black and white photograph of a Buddha statue measuring approximately 7¾"x10¼"; plus 78 black and white photographs towards the back, measuring from 2½"x4" to 3¾"x4¾"; all photographs are mounted. With (Oblong folio) 11x14, black cloth, gilt-lettered spine label.

Professionally photographed and covering the whole country of Japan. The smaller black and white photographs in the back were apparently taken by American foreigners who are pictured in some of the photographs. They appear to be literally on the road, via shanks, mare and jin-rikishaw, with an ascent of Fuji, Nagasaki, Nikko and other scenic places. Spine label reads: “Photographs of Japan.” An unusual and unique item.
