Fusuma paper was used to cover domestic sliding doors or screens. The samples here are quite diverse, including landscape, figural and floral themes. Many are stencilled over printed color designs; two of the volumes are of cloth-covered paper. It is difficult to find such a large sample book. Very valuable for design research.
