The Sefer Yetzirah, or Book of Creation, is arguably the most important text in the Kabbalistic tradition and probably the oldest. It uses Biblical and Midrash numerology as a technique of meditation. This copy with early ownership inscriptions to title and final leaf (shaved), two inkstamps of the chief Rabbi of Tiberius, Palestine, occasional marginalia and scattered words blocked over by an early censor. See Steinschneider No 3562, col 552.
