Albert Hurter (1883-1942) was one of the early pioneers in animation art and cartooning. He is best remembered for the inspirational sketch drawings that he created for the Walt Disney Studios. He was already 48 when he started working for the 29 year old Walt Disney, who gets much credit for seeing the potential in Hurter's talents. He designed characters and settings for Silly Symphonies, Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Reluctant Dragon, plus films that were made after his death, including drawings for Peter Pan, which can be seen in this book.
