This set includes the original paste-ups for King’s “The Eyes of the Dragon” and contains: A 1984 Philtrum Press proof copy of the book, unsigned but penciled "out of series" in the colophon; the Printer's Dummy Copy with bound signatures laid into an unmarked binding (the same as used for the book). Also laid into the book are various examples of endpapers, including the endpaper actually used for the book; 314 pages of 11"x8½" sheets. Each sheet has the text or illustrations (as they are in the book, but cut out and pasted on to the page; Unbound signatures of the book with colophon marked proof (same size as published book); 11"x8½" sheets of 314 of the printer’s pages held together in three parts by button files, not in order; 136 loose sheets 24" long by 10" wide with many corrections throughout, including some initialed "S.K."; An envelope containing loose sheets of the printer's mockups for the title page, colophon and most of the illustrations. Also a mock-up for spine of the book. Two of the illustrations are original; one is the "Study of Doorway" dated 2/12/84, the second is "Detail Study of the Death Watch Spider" dated 4/1/84.
