"Kromekote paper print". 7.3/8x9½ mounted to 11x14 mat. Ansel Adams inkstamp on mat verso and titled in Ansel Adams' hand: "Grass".

This is a publicity and review print from Ansel Adams's book "My Camera in Yosemite Valley" (Boston, 1949) with Adams's penciled title. Adams was advertising the new reproduction technique used in this book; on "kromekote" paper the image is sharper than in an ordinary halftone. A summertime image with waving grasses in the foreground and pines behind.
