Inscribed and signed in black ink in lower right corner: "To Louise Getchell / from / W.F. Cody / Campo Bonito / Feb. 20th 1911". Cody had investments in the Campo Bonito Mining and Milling Company. The image is a dramatic full-length studio portrait of Cody with beaded Native American jacket and gloves, chaps, and rifle. A superb photograph and inscription of the greatest showman the West ever had.
