Autograph note signed, in ink, on one of W.F. Cody's engraved calling cards (giving his address as "Nebraska, U.S.A."). 1¾x3. Matted with an early reproduction photograph of the Wild West troupe, in a wide (3") rustic frame, with recessed panel inset with 12 bullet and shell casings. Frame size 15½x33.

Autograph note, granting free admission to one of his Wild West shows for a group of four, to the "1st Seats". William Cody, "Buffalo Bill", gave his first "Wild West Show" at the 4th of July celebration at North Platte, Nebraska in 1882. Cody had bought land north of North Platte about a year before. Bill Cody was noted for his extreme generosity, but complimentary tickets to his shows are quite rare.
