Cream white cloth, green and gilt stamping, top edge stained green, jacket. First Trade Edition, First Issue.

First issue with gilt-stamping on spine. First edition published under the title "The Wild Palms," but later changed to Faulkner's intended title "If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem," which consists of two novellas: "The Wild Palms," and "Old Man." Petersen A19b-c.

Condition:

A few short tears and tiny creases plus some nicks to jacket edges, tape repair to verso of spine ends, light soiling; very slight shelf wear; couple faint and minor color spots on front free endpaper; about fine in a very good to near fine jacket.
