2 volumes (text + album). Text volume illustrated with many photographic plates, plus many folding maps and plates. Album volume with 258 plates, reproduced from International Boundary Commission photographs. Together, 2 volumes. 11½x9" and 11x13¾" (oblong), original green cloth, spines gilt-lettered.

Scarce boundary commission report, plentifully illustrated from photographs. The album photographs depict the 258 monuments in situ along the Mexico-U.S. border. Many of these have people posing with the monuments, presumably to give a sense of scale. The U.S. Section of the International Boundary Commission was represented by J.W. Barlow, A.T. Mosman and D.D. Gaillard.
