2 volumes. [2 ad], iv, [13]-224; iv, [3]-196 + [16 ad] pp. (12mo) 7¼x4½, original muslin-backed boards, paper spine labels; custom cloth slipcase. First American Edition.

First American edition, published without Cruikshank's illustrations. This copy with early ownership signature of "Beckett" on front free endpapers.

Condition:

Some wear to slipcase; spine labels with insect damage and loss, spines faded, corners worn; minor foxing, ads a little browned; still, a very nice set in original boards.
