Story retold by C.S. Evans. Illustrated throughout by Arthur Rackham with silhouette drawings, some in color. Tipped-in color plate frontispiece (4to) 11x8¾, original quarter vellum pictorially gilt, pictorial endpapers, top edge gilt, other edges uncut; custom green morocco-backed box. First Rackham Edition. Limited Edition, no. 236 of 325 copies printed on Japanese vellum, from a total edition of 850, signed by the author.

Preferred issue of Rackham's Cinderella with the color frontispiece not found in the trade edition; and printed on Japanese vellum rather than English handmade paper. The glossy paper seems particularly suited to the silhouette illustrations. Armorial bookplate of Hamilton of Carnell. Latimore & Haskell, p.49.
