Signed by the artist, and having belonged to the artist's mother. Inscribed on box lid: "Mrs C.D.W. Gibson / Flushing, L.I.". Signed on the first plate, "C.D. Gibson" and inscribed above that in a different pen, "With love from Dana." Charles Dana Gibson presentation copies are rare. This a touching example, a gift to his mother of his book in tribute to glamorous, beautiful widows.
