General rubbing to binding, corners and spine ends worn, lower joint starting; title-page slightly trimmed and laid down, ownership inscription on first text page (illegible from some marginal dampstain), browning throughout, wormtrail in gutter margin of about 4 gatherings; C1 with long closed tear into text (repaired in margin), a couple of other marginal tears, 2O4 with a marginal repair; overall, extremely good, quite attractive.
