Uncommon and attractive map of North and South America, refined from earlier maps of the Sansons, with table at left giving religions, languages, climatic features, etc. Wagner notes that "on this map the gulf [of California] is closed but the northewst coast turns east at C. Blanc. There is a dotted boundary line from the head of the gulf along the river and then in a curve to 45 degrees and then back to Illinois, The northwest coast has Vizcaino names like Sanson's. On the left-hand side is a column of explanations."
