Description:

Shows a male golfer distracted by an older golfer with top-hat reading Winter, presumably ol' man Winter. Younger golfer is seen saying "Oh for the Love of...". Measures 11¾x14½", framed and matted (22¾x25½" overall).

Signed by Briggs, dated 1928 in the lower right corner. Title "The Chilling Blast" inked on the top margin. "© 1928 N.Y. Tribune Inc." in small lettered at the bottom margin.

Condition:

A glue stain and a 4½" repaired tear to upper portion, large crease to upper center affecting word "Fore"; else very good in a fine and handsome frame.
