Nine total blueprints, photocopied on photographic paper from the originals, as used by the engineers, each identified: “Permanent Traveling Scaffold” constructed by the Bethlehem Steel Company (Almeda). Sheet Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and E1. Each measure 14¾x22½".

Interesting and rare collection of blueprints for San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Construction began on January 5, 1933 and was officially completed on May 27, 1937. During the mid-1950's, the Judson-Pacific Murphy Company of South San Francisco was awarded $3.5 million to stiffen girders underneath the bridge roadway. These blueprints represent the scaffolding needed for those 1950's improvements to the bridge, which as a whole was truly a monumental achievement.
