"Told in the first person, this handsome volume includes many of the club's poems, or lays, as they were called, which were written to honor members on special occasions. The recollections of the two authors make interesting reading and are valuable in helping to fill out our knowledge of early golf" - Murdoch 8; Donovan & Murdoch 5040.
