Thomas Stothard (1755-1834) was an enormously prolific artist and engraver, executing an estimated 5000 designs in his lifetime. His work included book illustrations, ephemeral materials such as tickets and almanac illustrations, portraits, etc. The watercolor painting (Signed T. Stothard) of a reclining male figure is very fine.
