2 vellum manuscript leaves, 12½x15½ folded to 4½x6½, wax seals mounted at bottom on vellum strips

Commission deputizing Sir Edward Smith, Baronet, according to an "Act of Parliament ordering the forces of the several counties . . ." authorized and signed by Aubrey de Vere, 20th Earl of Oxford and Christopher (Monck), 2nd Duke of Albemarle with their wax seals mounted below signatures. Front leaf in English with Latin leaf behind, joined at folded bottom margin where vellum strips are mounted. Nicely calligraphed with large decorative initials at upper left and borders ruled in red on both leaves. Dated in the text 1675.
