Designed to be a comical look at up-to-date eastern prospectors heading west for new fortune in Alaska and The Yukon Territory, this label is a great example of commercial artists borrowing images from other sources to create their designs. The image is based on a c.1850 hand-colored print created to satirize the stampede of gold miners to California.
