2 volumes. Steel-engraved frontisportraits and plates with tissue guards, numerous text illustrations. (8vo) 9¼x6¼, Period (original?) tooled crushed green morocco with raised bands, gilt lettered vellum spine labels, gilt dentelles, all edges gilt. First Edition.

Regimental coat of arms hand-painted on silk panel tipped into Volume I. Dornbusch lists an earlier work by Clark, published in 1864, covering only the Second Company of the Seventh Regiment; but he fails to note this later, fuller unit history. This elaborate elegant binding is possibly a presentation format; but there is no printed or written indication of it. Nevins, I, p. 70; Dornbusch I, N-189 (different edition).
