First item is a chatty letter. Frederick Irons Bamford was the husband of Georgia Loring Bamford, Jack London's old schoolmate and the author of "The Mystery of Jack London." The Bamford's were longtime friends of the Londons. Charmian's letter to Captain Wood concerns his order for her "Book of Jack London" she mentions another writing project "being 'The Log of the Dirigo,' covering our 1912 five month's voyage doubling Cape Horn aboard a big Sewall (bath, Me.) windjammer . . ." The postcard is a friendly reply to the Wood's inquiry after her well-being. The Argonaut Book Shop letter is in reply to an order from Capt. Wood for 4 Jack London books.
