Signed “Faithfully, F. Scott Fitzgerald” in brown fountain pen on the front free endpaper. Fitzgerald's first book to be produced by a major publisher and the most popular of his works in his own lifetime, until The Great Gatsby and Tender is the Night achieved monumental posthumous stature. Ninth printing, one of 5000 copies, published the same year as the first printing [in March]; the tenth printing wasn’t issued until February 1921.
