Complete set of these lovely depictions of fairies, fitting subjects for advertising Fairbank's Oval Fairy Soap, with the titles Morning, Noon, Evening and Night. The double-sided glass shows the versos, two of which advertise pictures that could be obtained by redeeming Fairy Soap "Oval Fronts"; one verso lists the 54 wives of U.S. Senators who use and recommend the soap; the last contains facsimile signatures of wives and widows of notable politicians, statesmen, soldiers and others who endorse the soap. Two of the four prints (Evening and Night) are reproduced on pages 78 and 79 of Maud Humphrey by Karen Choppa & Paul Humphrey. Though well remembered for her lovely illustrations, Maud Humphrey is also notable as the mother of actor Humphrey Bogart.
