Chart of an atoll in the Pacific, produced at Hale Pa`i O Lahainaluna (Printing House of Lahainaluna), with engraver Kepohoni credited. Beneath the title there is the engraved legend: "Sketch of an Island in Lat. 28o 22' N. Long. 118o 30' W. or thereabouts supposed to be Ocean Island, upon which the ship Gledstanes was wrecked June 9th 1837 at 11 h. 30 m. P.M. High water, Full and Change 5 h a.m. Rise 22 inches." "Ocean Island" is now identified as Kure Atoll. The position of the wreck on the coral reef is shown, and the tents on the small island, also flag staff and well.
