Volume 1, Part 2 & Volume 2, Part 1 only (of 2 volumes in 4 parts). (73)-150; 72 pp. 10 colored "watercolor facsimiles" window-mounted on thick sheets; 60 full-page plates in photogravure, typogravure, etc; numerous smaller illustrations in text. (Folio) 21x16, period full green morocco, spines gilt, full morocco doublures, top edges gilt. One of 200 copies of the edition "De Grand Luxe".

Color plates include works by Watteau, Poussin, Botticelli, da Vinci, Tiepolo and others.

Condition:

Spines faded and chipped, all covers detached, evidence of earlier tape repair to boards; plates overall clean and very good. Offered as a collection of plates only and sold as is. Should be examined.
