Carson's influential and important expose on environmental issues, specifically the detrimental effects of DDT and other pesticides, particularly on birds. First issue jacket with no mention of any awards for Silent Spring on the rear flap.

Condition:

Dust jacket somewhat toned, light edge chipping, some dampstaining on bottom of rear panel; volume has light rubbing at spine ends, top edge of pages a bit dusty, a few page corners creased over; about near fine in a very good jacket
