Illustrated throughout by Dr. Seuss. 12x9, boards, color pictorial dust jacket. First Edition, First Issue.

Inscribed by Dr. Seuss with an original ink drawing of a creature holding a sign which reads "Merry Xmas to Kim and Terry!" and beneath that figure, "From your Old Pal, Dr. Seuss." Charming illustration with this first issue. Price on jacket reads 200/200, and rear panel and rear volume cover list the correct titles. Younger & Hirsch 44.

Condition:

Small chip at head of jacket spine, lightly worn edges, short closed tears at spine tips, and a few other spots along edges repaired on verso with tape; volume spine heavily worn, with some chipping, detached from text block at rear joint, corners bumped, edge wear and faint soiling; good volume in very good jacket.
