An interesting souvenir book of this match which was termed "The Match of the Century." It was played over two days, at two different California golf clubs. The golf match stemmed from a property value dispute. "Unable to agree on the sale of Chicago property worth more than half a million dollars, Frederick H. Bartlett and Archie M. Andrews, millionaire Chicagoans, agreed...to decide the difference of $25,000 in their valuations by a game of golf." -newspaper clipping within. Archie Andrews won the golf match. The loser, Fred Bartlett had to pay $575,000 for the Chicago property (instead of $550,000 if he had won). Laid in is an article from the Chicago Economist of 1926, detailing the whole affair.
